New Holland to Hull (Corporation Pier)

In Britain, British Travel, Daily Ticket, Non-Train

Although this is a railway ticket, it’s actually for a journey by ferry not by train. It is a half-rate day return from New Holland in Lincolnshire across the River Humber to Hull (Corporation Pier). The ticket itself is an Edmonson design, on buff card, but quite a late design without a printed price. There is no date on front or back, but I would date the ticket from the 1970s.

The ferry, with both stations, was shut when the Humber Bridge opened on 24th June 1981. For more information on Hull (Corporation Pier) station see here. For more information about New Holland Pier station see here.

I help people and businesses organise their marketing, which saves time and stress. As part of this I created a straightforward way to help people develop anecdotes, which are the building blocks to confidence and assertiveness in groups of people. I help people strengthen their small-talk for social situations such as networking events and elsewhere. Stories about places are a great way to begin.
